Real Estate and Facilities prepares an annual capital budget request for consideration by the Board of Regents, usually in August or September. This request is for state funding to design, construct, and equip the buildings and infrastructure at the 26 University System of Georgia institutions. After approval by the Board, the request is submitted to the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget and enters the legislative cycle.
