    Each year, Constangy, Brooks and Smith, LLP distributes the University System of Georgia’s Human Resources Manual. The hyperlink will take you to the 2010 version of this manual. This manual is designed as a reference tool for the Chief Human Resources Officers and their staff members, and it contains information related to human resources regulations, rules, procedures and practices. Please understand that this manual is to be used as a reference tool only; and it does not supersede any information contained in the Human Resources Administrative Practice Manual or the Board of Regents Policy Manual.

  • Job Classification (B-CATS)
    In August 2003, the University System of Georgia “retired” its 33-year-old centralized job classification system. The new model that replaced it was the result of a two-year, cross-functional and cross-institutional initiative that reduced the job classification structure from almost 1,700 titles to about 200 job categories.
