* Amended FY 2020 & FY 2021 Budget Development * FY 2021 budget development templates due July 11th

August 2019

* FY 2019 Budgetary Compliance Reporting due from institutions August 2nd to September 3rd (due dates set by Accounting and Reporting) * FY 2020 MRR Allocations approved by Board of Regents at August meeting

September 2019

* Board of Regents approves Amended FY 2020 & FY 2021 budget requests; submitted to Governor's Office of Planning and Budget (OPB) * September through December: OPB conducts detailed review of USG budget requests, works with agencies to answer questions and refine details of request * FY 2019 Annual Expenditure Report (AER) due from institutions September 12th * FY 2021 Budget Hearing instructions issued

October 2019

* FY 2021 Mandatory Fee, 5-year Auxiliary Plan, Revenue Projection, Graduate Tuition, Elective Fee, and Housing and Food Services request instructions issued * First Quarter budget amendment due October 7th * First Quarter Financial Reports due on October 16th * FY 2021 Budget Hearing narratives due October 23rd for select institutions * Annual Budget Conference - October 24 & 25 at Clayton State University

November 2019

* FY 2021 Budget Hearings begin for select institutions * FY 2021 Budget Hearing narratives due November 20th for select institutions

December 2019

* FY 2021 Budget Hearings for select institutions * FY 2021 Revenue Projections, Mandatory Fee requests, Five-Year Auxiliary Business Plans due December 18th

January 2020

* FY 2021 Budget Hearings for select institutions * Governor releases Amended FY 2020 & FY 2021 Budget Reports; Chancellor presents recommendations to Joint Appropriations Committee * General Assembly conducts hearings and review of Amended FY 2020 & FY 2021 budget recommendations * Second Quarter budget amendment due on January 9th * Second Quarter Financial Reports due on January 16th * FY 2021 Graduate tuition requests due January 17th

February 2020

* FY 2021 Budget Hearings for select institutions * General Assembly continues review and hearings on Amended FY 2020 & FY 2021 budgets * FY 2021 Elective Fees and Special Charges due February 3rd

March 2020

* FY 2021 Budget Hearings for select institutions * General Assembly passes Amended FY 2020 Budget * General Assembly passes FY 2021 Budget (late March - early April)

April 2020

* Chancellor's FY 2021 institution budget allocation recommendations are finalized * Third Quarter budget amendment due on April 7th * Third Quarter Financial Reports due on April 16th * FY 2021 Allocation, Tuition and Fees recommendations presented to the Board of Regents for approval * FY 2021 State Fund Allocations, Tuition and Fees rates sent to all institutions with Budget Guidelines * Begin developing budget strategy for FY 2022

May 2020

* FY 2021 Original Budget due May 1st * Budget Office reviews FY 2021 Original Budget submissions * FY 2021 Original Budget presented to Board of Regents for approval at the May meeting * Initial FY 2021 Annual Operating Budget submitted to OPB by USG Budget Office by June 1st

June & July 2020

* Information request for New Square Footage, Health Insurance and New Retirees projections for FY 2022 budget development sent to institutions (due from institutions in July 2020) * Final budget amendments for FY 2020 due from institutions July 7
