Clayton State University has announced a $250,000 gift from Google to transform the university’s STEM education and workforce readiness programming. This collaboration will drive initiatives that include student scholarships, the establishment of an artificial intelligence lab, and hands-on industry experiences, equipping students with the skills needed to excel in an era of rapid technological innovation.
“This transformative partnership with Google aligns perfectly with our vision to prepare students for the 21st-century workforce and broadening access to quality education,” said Dr. Lewis, president of Clayton State University.

After years of professional collaboration, leaders from Clayton State University and Achieve Atlanta (AATL) met to publicly sign off on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to mutually strengthen resources and assistance to students from both institutions.

As Clayton State’s 2024 Homecoming festivities kicked off, Dr. Georj L. Lewis was honored in the University Center, as all Lakers came together to congratulate him on his first year serving as president of the institution.

If you see Dr. Ebrahim Khosravi in the halls of Clayton State’s College of Information and Mathematical Sciences, and he’s grinning from ear to ear, it’s probably because he’s thinking about the notable growth that he believes the university is about to experience.
While the college’s upcoming Launchpad Leadership Academy will be opening soon, he sees the potential for massive growth in the wake of the school’s second annual CIMS Symposium — an extension of the academy.

This spring semester, Dr. Linda (Joie) Hain, assistant professor of marketing, offered her students the opportunity to foster a relationship with Rotary District 6910 to conduct an evaluation of the organization’s current digital marketing processes for the district, which covers Gwinnett County north to the Tennessee line west to Woodstock ending in Augusta. The project is part of Clayton State’s Partnering Academics Community Engagement (PACE) program.
