Middle Georgia State University (MGA) has five campuses located in urban and medium-to-small sized cities in middle Georgia, and unlimited reach through the university’s online campus. The university’s mission is to educate and graduate inspired, lifelong learners whose scholarship and careers enhance the region through professional leadership, innovative partnerships, and community engagement.

  • MGA is the most affordable public state university in Georgia, enrolling more than 7,800 students in Fall 2021 from 145 of Georgia’s 159 counties, 44 states, and 28 countries.

  • MGA offers more than 65 programs of study, leading to in-demand careers.

  • MGA offers online programs leading to doctorate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as a variety of graduate certificates. The University’s online campus features online degrees composed of 8-week courses and flat-rate tuition for students anywhere in the world.

  • MGA is home to the only public, four-year School of Aviation in Georgia, offering programs ranging from flight to maintenance and logistics. Undergraduate degrees offered include programs in computer science, cybersecurity, nursing, education, aviation, business, communications, social work, respiratory therapy, sport management, and more.

  • Graduate degrees offered include online master’s degrees in information technology, management, teaching-secondary education, technical and professional writing, public relations, professional leadership, occupational therapy, and nursing with emphasis on adult/gerontology acute care; as well as a doctoral program in information technology.

  • Middle Georgia State University has 10 varsity sports teams, competing in basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, soccer, and cross country.
