The University of Georgia's Special Education Training on the Web (SETWEB) is intended for educators who currently have a teaching certificate and are teaching special education on a provisional basis.

North Georgia College and State University has developed a 3 course program intended for Georgia's P-16 teachers in which students can earn Staff Development Units (SDUs) or graduate credit hours.

Another option for those who hold a provisional certificate in special education or a clear renewable certificate to teach in any discipline. The Teacher Certification Program (TCP) is a collaborative effort of Armstrong Atlantic State University, Georgia Public Broadcasting's Education Services Division and The Learning House.
