For all USG data collections, data is extracted from the source data system and then processed and aggregated and ultimately stored in various Data Stores. Each data collection has its own mechanisms to accomplish this. 

For Academic and Facilities Inventory data collections, data is extracted from each institution’s Banner database into local tables before being transmitted to the USG.

For the Financial Aid data collection, data is extracted from each institution’s Banner database and is directly transmitted to the USG.
