Microsoft Power BI is a business intelligence (BI) and analytics tool that can connect data from many sources to create interactive dashboards and reports. In an effort to decrease time-consuming report development cycles, the transition to Power BI as a system-wide reporting tool will provide efficient, fast, accurate access to institutional data. Power BI also allows users to sort and filter, customize views, explore visualizations, and export to Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint for further analysis or presentations.
IBM Cognos Analytics
IBM Cognos is a web-based suite of tools from IBM that offers a full range of business intelligence capabilities including self-service reports, analysis, and dashboards. Using developed reports, users with limited technical knowledge have access to detailed information covering a broad range of metrics.
