Atlanta — November 30, 2004

University System of Georgia Chancellor Thomas C. Meredith and his wife, Susan, both have returned to Atlanta after a week of hospitalization in Charleston, S.C., following a car accident last Tuesday.

Chancellor Meredith has been released from the hospital and will continue to recuperate at home. Susan Meredith will be in an Atlanta hospital for several more days.

“We are glad the Merediths are back home in Georgia,” said Board of Regents Chair Joel Wooten. “We are thankful they survived this serious accident and look forward to their full recovery as quickly as possible.”
