Book Cart Maneuvering the Book Cart Safely

• Push rather than pull the book cart
• Pull book cart when exiting elevators or through swinging doors
• Push from the end, not the sides
• Ensure that the book cart allows sufficient foot space for your natural gait
• DO NOT use a damaged cart, particularly one with faulty wheels
• DO NOT use a cart in which your vision is obstructed
• Use carts with handles, whenever possible
• Keep hands, and fingers inside the running periphery of the cart to prevent injury
