WHAT: Regents Awards for Excellence in Education Celebration
Former U.S. Senator Zell Miller will receive the Elridge McMillan Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding service to higher education in Georgia. Three accomplished alumni of the University System of Georgia will be named to the Regents Hall of Fame, and four exemplary USG faculty members will receive Regents Hall of Fame Faculty awards. Gov. Sonny Perdue and Chancellor Erroll B. Davis Jr. will deliver greetings.

WHEN: Saturday, March 3, 2007
The chancellor and governor will deliver greetings at approximately 7:30-7:45 p.m., followed by dinner. The awards will be announced after dinner, at approximately 9 p.m.
