Health Savings Account
If you’re enrolled in the Consumer Choice HSA Plan, you’re eligible to have a Health Savings Account (HSA).
Contributions to an Optum Bank HSA for eligible medical, prescription drug, dental and vision expenses are tax-free, allowing you to save money on your federal and state income taxes and Social Security taxes. Unlike an FSA, money left in your HSA rolls over from year to year.
When you contribute to your HSA through payroll deduction, USG will match you dollar-for-dollar until your contributions reach $375 for an individual or $750 for a family. In 2016, you can contribute a total of up to $3,350 for an individual or $6,750 for a family (including USG’s contribution). And the HSA is always yours, even if you leave USG!
