On September 4-6, 2018, the Georgia Center for Teaching and Learning (GA-CTL) Regents Advisory Committee (RAC) met to design and develop programming for the Faculty Learning Communities (FLC) Initiative in support of the Momentum Year. In groups of five, they created workshops on the topics of course design, mindset, inclusive pedagogies, and small teaching/interactive lectures. They will meet again in early October to refine and finalize these workshops and accompanying materials.

On October 16 and 22, 2018, a subset of GA-CTL RAC representatives will introduce these topics to the Chancellor’s Learning Scholars (CLSs), who are representatives from each institution in the University System of Georgia (USG). The CLSs will facilitate semester-long FLCs on their campuses for the purposes of promoting pedagogical discussions which lead to course enrichment, and extending leadership in pedagogy across the institutions of the USG.
