ATLANTA — The Student Advisory Council of the University System of Georgia (USG) welcomes its new advisor, Michael Trivette, for the 2011-2012 academic year.
USG Chancellor Hank Huckaby introduced Trivette to the System’s governing Board of Regents (BOR) at the Board of Regents meeting on September 13. A native of Concord, NC, he comes to USG by way of the Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia where he is currently a second-year doctoral student. Before enrolling at UGA, Trivette worked in the Office of Admissions at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, where he also served as an adjunct faculty member in three academic departments.
Trivette has a master of arts degree in educational media: media literacy from Appalachian State University and a bachelor of science degree in electronic media/broadcasting and organizational/public communication from Appalachian State.
He will work with the student leaders from all 35 state institutions on issues related to the Board of Regents.
