GSW Students Helping Troops Celebrate Holidays

Georgia Southwestern State University’s Psychology and Modern Life class decorated stockings that will be filled with snacks and other goodies. The stockings will be sent to troops in Afghanistan in a project known as Operation Desert Support (ODS).

Armstrong’s Herbarium and Greenhouse Blossom with New Life

Armstrong Assistant Professor of Biology Melanie Link-Perez and student Hunter Seabolt are reviving Armstrong’s Greenhouse and once-dormant Herbarium, which was started in 1967 and catalogs and archives more than 5,000 dried botanical specimens.
