Georgia Tech and UGA in Top 5 for Return on Investment
SmartMoney magazine ranked Georgia Tech as number one and UGA as number four on the publication’s list of the best 50 colleges based on return of tuition investment. SmartMoney created a “Payback Score” reflecting an actual return on tuition investment to determine “the best academic deals in America”.

GSW Hispanic recruiter is true role model to minority students
Francisco “Paco” Paredes recently received a special “role model” honor from Minority Access, Inc. at their national conference in Orlando. The National Role Models Project honors students, faculty, and alumni with the goal of increasing the number of minority scientists, researchers and professionals in underrepresented fields.

USG Vice Chancellor and CIO Curt Carver Named a Top 10 Breakaway Leader
The award, given for the first time to an educational IT organization, is seen by Carver as acknowledgement of the efforts of the ITS staff. “Partnering with USG campuses and the university system office, our collective judgment, relentless pursuit of excellence and everyone’s hard work in deploying innovative solutions to difficult enterprise problems has led to this recognition,” stated Carver.
