AMSC’s Iyoha Receives International Honor Society Award
Ehiremen “Martins” Iyoha was recognized with the Distinguished Chapter Member Award during the 2013 Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society Annual Convention held in San Jose, California. Martins is one of only 30 students across the country to be honored.

UWG Debaters Ranked Among Best in the Nation
Holding true to its national trend, the University of West Georgia debate team finished in second place at The Cross-Examination Debate Association Nationals. The team of Damiyr Davis and Miguel Feliciano, both sophomores from New York City, topped off its season with a more than stellar performance in two national tournaments.

GPC Program for Latino Students Wins National Award
Georgia Perimeter College Educational Assistance Program, which provides assistance to Latino students, won an award for advising from the National Academic Advising Association. Program director Eric Cuevas is pictured with GPC students Sebastian Saavedra and Chris Olaya.

Zanev Selected as Fulbright Scholar
Vladimir Zanev, Columbus State Computer Science Professor, has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar. He will will teach in Bulgaria next fall as a participant in the Fulbright Scholar Program. Fewer than 15 Fulbright awards nationwide go to computer science faculty.
