Affordable and Accessible Agriculture Degree

The University of Georgia-Tifton and Bainbridge State College signed agreements that will allow students who graduate from Bainbridge State with an associate of arts degree in an agricultural concentration, with a grade point average of at least 2.8, to gain automatic acceptance into the University of Georgia – Tifton Campus to earn a bachelor of science in agriculture.

Dumbuya receives Fulbright grant

A Fort Valley State University history professor is the recipient of a prestigious national grant. The Council for International Exchange of Scholars awarded Dr. Peter Dumbuya a Fulbright Scholar Program grant. Dumbuya will spend the 2013-2014 academic year teaching and conducting research in Sierra Leone.

Jenks Named to Academic Fellowship in Terrorism Studies

The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies (FDD), a non-partisan policy institute headquartered in Washington, D.C., recently named Dr. David Jenks, professor of Criminology at the University of West Georgia, as an “Academic Fellow” for 2013-14. Jenks will travel to Israel for terrorism studies.
