Continuing Education Reports
Continuing education (CE) activities are part of the public service mission of the University System of Georgia. CE programs are established to provide lifelong learning opportunities to Georgia’s citizens and to serve business, industry, government, and professional organizations through delivery of non-credit courses. The unit awarded for participation in CE programs is the Continuing Education Unit (CEU). Each CEU represents ten contact hours of participation in an organized CE experience.
The manner of managing CE and collecting CEU data changed in FY2006 at some institutions. Following that time, institutions did not necessarily report CE activity in a uniform manner. Thus, use caution in comparing the reports over time and across institutions.
Continuing education activities are coordinated by the USG Georgia LEADS Office of the Georgia’s Intellectual Capital Partnership Program (ICAPP) at the following site: http://www.georgialeads.org/. Please contact Georgia LEADS if you have questions on the reports.
