EXECUTIVE AND COMPENSATION COMMITTEE
The Executive and Compensation Committee met on Monday, October 27, 2003, at approximately 4:00 p.m. in the room 7019, the Chancellor's Conference Room. Committee members in attendance were Chair Joe Frank Harris, Vice Chair Joel O. Wooten, Jr., and Regents Donald M. Leebern, Jr. and Patrick S. Pittard. Regent Glenn S. White was also in attendance. Immediately after he called the Committee to order, Chair Harris called for an Executive Session for the purpose of discussing a personnel issue involving the president of the University of Georgia ("UGA"). With motion properly made and variously seconded, the Regents who were present voted unanimously to go into Executive Session. Those Regents were as listed above. Also in attendance during the Executive Session were Chancellor Thomas C. Meredith; the Secretary to the Board, Gail S. Weber; and the Senior Vice Chancellor for Support Services, Corlis Cummings. In attendance from UGA were President Michael F. Adams; Provost Arnett C. Mace; the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration, Hank Huckaby; the Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff, Tom S. Landrum; the Senior Vice President for External Affairs, Steven W. Wrigley; and the Executive Director of Legal Affairs, Stephen M. Shewmaker. In accordance with H.B. 278, Section 3 (Amending O.C.G.A. § 50-14-4), an affidavit regarding this Executive Session is on file with the Chancellor's Office.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., Chair Harris reconvened the Committee meeting in its regular session and announced that no actions were taken in the Executive Session. There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned.
