Georgia Gwinnett College and the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation aim to strengthen the College’s mission through the identification and development of private financial resources for the support of the College. These resources assist the College in attaining levels of excellence that are above and beyond state funding. The College seeks to provide appropriate recognition of donors for their generosity.
Georgia Gwinnett College will comply with the University System of Georgia Board of Regents Policy 912 – NAMES OF FACILITIES OR STREETS.
All signage related to a naming opportunity will be consistent with Georgia Gwinnett College’s Master Plan and will adhere to Board of Regents Policy 908.03 – CAMPUS GROUNDS AND FACILITIES DEVELOPMENT and Section 917- BUILDING PLAQUES.
Georgia Gwinnett College will comply with the Board of Regents policy for named faculty funds as stated in Policy 803.0402, Section 4.07.03 - ESTABLISHMENT OF SPECIAL FACULTY POSITIONS. The Georgia Gwinnett College Naming Committee consists of the President, Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, Vice President for Advancement, the Director of Development, and a member of the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation’s Board of Trustees. The Committee meets on an as-needed basis and approves all financial commitments for naming opportunities. With the Naming Committee’s approval, the President of Georgia Gwinnett College will submit naming requests to the Board of Regents.
For interior spaces and other naming opportunities not covered by the Board of Regents policies, the Naming Committee, through the President, will notify the Board of Regents in a timely fashion of any naming decisions.
The Naming Committee will review these guidelines on a regular and recurring schedule in order to ensure that the college continues to be in compliance with the campus Master Plan and the policies of the Board of Regents.
