Mission Statement
The Office of Real Estate & Facilities shall serve the University System's mission to develop and sustain a superior built environment for higher education in Georgia.
In this regard, the Office of Real Estate and Facilities will:
- Provide service and support to the Board of Regents, campus administrations, and the students to meet the higher educational needs of the citizens of Georgia;
- Support preplanning techniques and sustainable development so that public funds are used wisely;
- Coordinate construction with approved institutional missions, academic programs and enrollment projections;
- Meet deadlines for the opening of new or renovated facilities;
- Maintain existing buildings and facilities appropriately;
- Facilitate timely environmental reviews;
- Provide careful and considered review of potential leases and property transfers; and
- Support and encourage the good stewardship of property through physical master planning.
