  Health Professions Task Force Delivers Final Report (PDF 13.6mb)

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia heard a presentation on long-term, critical workforce shortages in a number of health professions during their June 2006 board meeting. Dr. Daniel W. Rahn, president of the Medical College of Georgia and task force chair, presented the findings and recommendations of the Task Force on Health Professions Education, appointed by the board in September 2005.

The task force was composed of 11 representatives of University System campuses offering health professions education, Don Snell, president and chief executive officer of MCG Health, Inc., and Michael F. Vollmer, commissioner of the Department of Technical and Adult Education.
