General Information
The 11th Annual Georgia Summit Conference
September 17-19, 2008
The 11th Annual Georgia Summit Conference will be held at the Marriott Hotel and Suites in Augusta, Georgia. The 2008 conference is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, and end at 12 noon on Friday, September 19, 2008.
The purpose of the conference is to facilitate interaction among users of all University System enterprise applications.
THE SCOPE:
Georgia Summit is one of the largest, most successful conferences in the University System devoted to functional users of administrative software applications. Conference participants include USG campus decision makers, functional users, and support staff who are responsible for the operational functions of Sungard Higher Education Student Information and Financial Aid Systems, PeopleSoft Human Resource Management System, the USG Data Warehouse, and GeorgiaVIEW Vista. There will not be a track for PeopleSoft Financials this year since it is undergoing a major upgrade at that time. We are adding presentations about GeorgiaVIEW Vista and Georgia ONmyLINE. The conference focuses on these applications and their integration to support the USG missions of instruction, research, and service. The conference addresses not only individual applications but also challenges of integrating business processes across many applications and provides opportunities for interactions among users.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This conference is intended for University System functional users and support staff who work with Banner, Data Warehouse, Georgia ONmyLINE, GeorgiaVIEW Vista and PeopleSoft HRMS, or with other applications that integrate with those enterprise systems.
The conference provides an opportunity for users to:
- Meet in a conference environment
- Participate in formal information sharing sessions
- Meet informally to discuss specific needs within individual software packages, as well as integrated workflow across software packages.
Participants are campus professionals who use technology to facilitate the transformation of lives through higher education in the USG.
