General Information

Powering the Transformation
The 10th Annual Georgia Summit Conference
September 19 - 21, 2007

The 10th Annual Georgia Summit Conference will be held at the Marriott Hotel and Suites in Augusta, Georgia. The 2007 conference is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 19, and end at 12 noon on Friday, September 21, 2007.

The purpose of the conference is to facilitate interaction among users of all University System enterprise applications.

THE SCOPE:
Georgia Summit is one of the largest, most successful conferences in the University System devoted to functional users of administrative software applications. Conference participants include University System of Georgia (USG) campus decision makers, functional users, and support staff who are responsible for the operational functions of Sungard Higher Education Student Information and Financial Aid System, PeopleSoft Financials and the Human Resource Management Systems, and the USG Data Warehouse. The conference focuses on these applications and their integration to support the USG missions of instruction, research, and service. The conference addresses not only individual applications but also challenges of integrating business processes across many applications and provides opportunities for interactions among users.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This conference is intended for University System functional users and support staff who work with Banner, PeopleSoft, and the Data Warehouse, or with other applications that integrate with those enterprise systems.

The conference provides an opportunity for users to:

  1. Meet in a conference environment
  2. Participate in formal information sharing sessions
  3. Meet informally to discuss specific needs within individual software packages, as well as integrated workflow across software packages.

Transforming lives is the power of higher education in the USG, and facilitating that transformation is the objective of administrative services of every campus. Powering the transformation through technology is the focus of the 10th Annual Georgia Summit for functional users of enterprise applications.

Participants are campus professionals who use technology to facilitate the transformation of lives through higher education in the USG.
