Connecting Instruction, Research, and Service through Technology
The Ninth Annual Georgia Summit Conference
September 20 - 22, 2006

The Ninth Annual Georgia Summit Conference will be held at the Savannah Hyatt Hotel in Savannah, Georgia. The 2006 conference is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 20, and end at 12 noon on Friday, September 22, 2006.

The purpose of the conference is to facilitate interaction among users of all University System enterprise applications.

THE SCOPE:
Georgia Summit conference participants include University System of Georgia (USG) campus decision makers, functional users, and support staff who are responsible for the operational functions of Sungard SCT Banner Student Information and Financial Aid System, PeopleSoft Financials and the Human Resource Management Systems, and the USG Data Warehouse. The conference focuses on these applications and their integration to support the USG missions of instruction, research, and service. The conference addresses not only individual applications but also challenges of integrating business processes across many applications and provides opportunities for interactions among users.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This conference is intended for University System functional users and support staff responsible for the operational functions within Banner, PeopleSoft, Facilities, and the Data Warehouse. The conference provides an opportunity for users to:

  1. Meet in a conference environment
  2. Participate in formal information sharing sessions
  3. Meet informally to discuss specific needs within individual software packages, as well as integrated workflow across software packages.

Participants are campus professionals who use technology to connect instruction, research, and service.

CONFERENCE ATTIRE:
Business casual is the attire for the conference. Wednesday, September 20th has been designated as Show Your True Colors Day, so please be sure to wear your favorite golf shirt, sweatshirt, cap, or other apparel featuring your institution's colors or logo.

REGISTRATION:
The registration fee includes the conference facility fee, conference materials, all breaks, a reception on Wednesday evening, continental breakfast and lunch on Thursday, and a continental breakfast on Friday. Since meals must be guaranteed in advance, it is imperative that the registration form and payment be submitted no later than September 10, 2006.

Conference space is limited, so it is strongly recommended that you register early.
