Tom Maier, Vice Chancellor for Information and Instructional Technology/Chief Information Officer

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Information and Instructional Technology/Chief Information Officer is responsible for IIT policy development, strategic planning, facilities approvals, IIT Procurement Policies and Procedures, purchasing approvals, oversight, and related support for effective and efficient operations and services for OIIT, the USO, the USG, the Board of Regents, and the Georgia Public Library System.

The OIIT Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Operations, the AVC for Services, and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) support the Vice Chancellor/CIO in directing and developing policy related to IIT and in planning. In addition, the Vice Chancellor for IIT, the AVCs, and the CISO participate in numerous USG and external organizations.
