The Services division develops and supplies services and processes that facilitate, enhance, and support technology innovations, operations, and maintenance of the USG infrastructure, all academic and administrative enterprise applications, integration of those applications with each other and the operating system, and security. Teams in Operations and Services work closely together to provide technology support services that have both breadth and depth.
Service functions include negotiating and managing expectations, assisting with determination of priorities, promoting analysis of information, and enriching customer relations to support cooperatively the same areas that Operations serves:
- Classroom and online instruction
- Administrative needs (e.g., registration, financial aid, housing, and other student services)
- Business needs of Georgia’s colleges and universities
- Research and collaboration
- Reporting and decision-making
