Operations
Reid Christenberry, Associate Vice Chancellor
The Operations division works cooperatively with the Services division to advance and support the USG infrastructure, all enterprise applications, integration of those applications with each other and the operating systems, technology innovations, security, and the USG Data Warehouse. This division initiates, develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the technologies used daily across the USG for the following purposes:
- Classroom and online instruction
- Administrative needs (e.g., registration, financial aid, housing, and other student services)
- Business needs of Georgia’s colleges and universities
- Research and collaboration
- Reporting and decision-making
The role of Operations is to execute and maintain the technologies used to deliver academic and administrative services for the USG and the Georgia Public Library System.
