Executive Summary
The third meeting of the System Council for International Education took place on Friday, April 23, 1999, at Macon State College. The Council consists of thirty-four representatives appointed by the presidents of each USG institution, joined by the chairs of the World Regional Councils and other special committees. Richard C. Sutton, the System's Director of International Programs and Services, chaired the meeting. International admissions guidelines with respect to TOEFL scores, J-1 Exchange Visitor Program, Global Partnership Awards, and new guidelines for screening Study Abroad applicants were among the items discussed. NAFSA Health and Safety Guidelines were unanimously adopted.
