Chancellor's Response To Reports of Proposed Mid-Year Tuition Increase

AUGUSTA - (Aug. 25) – In response to media calls seeking comments regarding the possibility of a "mid-year tuition increase" being imposed by the Board of Regents, University System of Georgia Chancellor Thomas C. Meredith issues the following statement:

"I have sought a review of the requested reductions to the Board of Regents' budget by the Governor," the chancellor stated. "Until we hear the results of that review, it is premature to speculate about specific actions. As for the reported tuition increases, the Board of Regents has not considered any such action."
