Wednesday, June 12 as University System's 10th Chancellor

| WHO: | Dr. Thomas C. Meredith Chancellor, Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia |
| WHAT: | This formal ceremony will feature a processional, remarks from Gov. Roy E. Barnes, greetings from the presidents, faculty, staff and students of the University System, an investiture and the presentation of a special medallion to the chancellor, the chancellor's inaugural address, and a recessional. |
| WHEN: | 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2002 |
| WHERE: | The inauguration will take place in the House of Representatives Chamber at the Georgia State Capitol, a rare use of this historic, completely refurbished facility. A reception will follow in the Capitol Rotunda at 3:30 p.m. |
| WHO: | Regent Hilton H. Howell Jr., chair of the Board of Regents, will preside. In addition to members of the Board of Regents, presidents and representative faculty of the University System, the staff of the University System Office, and a number of invited guests and higher-education delegates will attend the ceremony. |
