Annual "State of the System" Address This address, general delivered every September to coincide with the launch of the new academic year, was postponed this year because of the national tragedies that befell our nation on September 11. It was rescheduled to coincide with the last official board meeting of the year for the Board of Regents, which also will be the last for Portch, who leaves his post on December 31, 2001. |
