Office of Media and Publications Mission Statement
The Office of Media and Publications serves as the central communications/public information operation for the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia. Our mission is to communicate in a proactive manner the goals, agenda and accomplishments of the Board of Regents to a broad-based constituency--particularly to such primary audiences as state legislators; key national, regional and local media; key business and industry leaders and other key decision-makers, as well as the public at large. We also aim to shape the image of the Board of Regents and the University System of Georgia as a highly accessible, customer service-oriented organization.
Media and Publications strives to:
- elevate the University System's profile with key national, regional and local media outlets;
- develop and implement communications strategies to increase the Board of Regents' and the University System of Georgia's visibility with key audiences;
- develop and implement communications campaigns and strategies that meet the marketing and communications needs surrounding key policy directions and initiatives of the Board of Regents;
- serve as a vehicle for strategic marketing via the University System's institutions by developing communications strategies that encompass all 35 colleges and universities; and
- continually improve the quality of services and products provided by the unit.
