With the conclusion of the 2013-2014 ELI program, the number of scholars to complete the program has climbed to 238.
To compliment the scholar’s achievement, an awards Luncheon was held in April at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. This event was attended by the chancellor, regents, presidents, mentors and managers – all who have supported the ELI Scholars through their journey. The level of support across the system is indicative of the importance of this program.
Former Chairman of the Board of Regents, Robert F. Hatcher, in a congratulatory letter to the ELI team, stated “Years from now, as we look back on it, I think we will see the establishment of leadership development programs and our strong support of them as the single most important, lasting thing we will have done. They will be transformative for the system as we go forward.”
