Institutional, Curricular, and Individual Faculty Development Opportunities
The University System of Georgia supports and encourages campus efforts to internationalize the institution, including curricular, faculty, and staff development. An array of programs provides opportunities for campus internationalization, overseas teaching, and professional development. The USG also hosts workshops and conferences that offer training, scholarship, and engagement on a range of international topics.
INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Principles of International Education
Guides the development and enhancement of international education at the System's 35 campuses through five principles and fifteen action steps; adopted by the Board of Regents in April 2008
- Internationalizing the Campus (ITC) Grant
Supports strategic campus internationalization efforts that transform USG undergraduate education
- Global Competencies Project
Examines and provides substantial resources on global learning outcomes and strategies for integrating global competencies into the USG undergraduate curriculum
- Seven Revolutions Project
Engages USG campuses and faculty to prepare globally competent citizens with the use of the web-based learning and teaching platform, Epsilen Environment, and The New York Times Knowledge Network
- Harrington Award for Inter-Institutional Collaboration in International Education
Recognizes outstanding work of an individual, program, partnership, consortium or institution which has significantly contributed to collaboration in international education within the USG

International education opportunities organized by the USG and others
- USG Faculty Development Seminars Abroad and Chancellor's Awards
Provide USG faculty with funding and a unique opportunity to travel abroad and infuse curriculum and scholarship with international perspectives

Provides USG faculty with an opportunity to gain international experience by participating in overseas teaching
