Across all disciplines, Atlanta Metro – a two-year institution – seeks to cultivate within its students a knowledge-base and repertoire of skills for success upon transfer and in a competitive workplace; a habit of informed, critical thinking; and a strong sense of personal and collective responsibility. Matriculation at Atlanta Metropolitan College enables students to assume their roles as competent, reflective and socially conscious citizen-thinkers.

  • With an enrollment of over 2,200, the student body is composed of both traditional and non-traditional students. The college attracts students from a number of international countries, adding to the rich ethnic and cultural atmosphere of the campus.

  • Atlanta Metro is open seven days a week and serves the needs of students through a traditional day program as well as through a Morning, Evening, and Weekend College. It also has a Dual Enrollment Program, and Early College and several Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) programs.

  • The college offers more than 40 programs of study in the fields of business, mathematics and computer science, humanities and fine arts, natural sciences and social sciences. Atlanta Metropolitan College awards the associate of art and associate of science degrees through its transfer program track. Students also may pursue an associate of applied science degree through the institution’s career program track.

  • Atlanta Metro has an economic impact on Atlanta of $52.9 million.
