As a unit of the University System of Georgia, Armstrong Atlantic State University, a four-year institution, is committed to:

    • Since its founding 74 years ago by the City of Savannah, Armstrong Atlantic has become a vibrant 268-acre, urban campus of some 7,500 traditional and non-traditional students serving a wider community of 334,353 residents.

    • The university offers programs at two other centers in the coastal Georgia area. It operates The Liberty Center in Hinesville and is a cooperative partner at The Brunswick Center, located at the College of Coastal Georgia.

    • With a challenging array of more than 100 academic programs, including undergraduate and graduate degree programs in science and technology, teacher education, the health professions, and liberal arts, Armstrong Atlantic provides its students with a firm foundation in both the liberal arts and specialized areas of study.

    • It serves as a regional health professions center, a regional criminal justice training center and is part of the Georgia Tech Regional Engineering Program and the Georgia Tech-Armstrong Atlantic State University Engineering Alliance to serve the growing field of engineering.

    • AASU has an economic impact on Savannah’s metropolitan statistical area of more than $205.5 million.
