Open Enrollment - October 24, 2011 through November 18, 2011
Posted August 19, 2011
You will be eligible to enroll for your 2012 healthcare benefits beginning October 24, 2011. Please take the time to thoroughly review your benefit options and dependent information prior to completing your enrollment by selecting the Benefits Tab after logging on to the Employee Self Service System at http://portal.adp.com. You have from 10/24/2011 until 11/18/2011 to enroll in your benefits.
Please note that if you do not enroll during this period, all of your 2011 benefits will roll to the 2012 plan year except your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) elections. If you are contributing to FSA for 2011, you must re-enroll for 2012. You will not have the opportunity to elect or change coverage until the next Open Enrollment Period unless you experience a qualifying life event.
Upon submitting your benefit elections, you will receive an on-line confirmation number. Your elections will remain in force until the end of the 2012 plan year. Again, please note that you will not have the opportunity to request any changes to your elections unless you experience a qualifying life event.
During the August 9th – 10th Board Meeting, the Regents approved the following changes for 2012:
• Network change to Blue Open Access POS for BCBS PPO and HSA/PPO Plans
• Provide Health Savings Account (HSA) match for both current and new enrollee employees up to the current 2011 levels
• Change HSA/Open Access POS (PPO) Plan employer contribution from 90/10 to 85/15
• Board of Regents Policy change for benefit eligibility from 20 to 30 hours per week
• Board of Regents Policy change for employee/dependent benefits coverage to start on 1st day of the month after enrollment
• Eliminate Consumer Choice Option for all Plans
• Update PPO prescription plan to eliminate quarterly Rx out-of-pocket maximum
• Freeze new enrollment into the BCBS and Kaiser HMO’s – This would not apply to retirees
Please direct any questions regarding your benefits to your institution’s HR department of employment or retirement.
