USG Professional Development Consortium Featured in ASTD Competency Study

The USG Professional Development Consortium (PDC) has been featured in the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) Competency Study. Selected as a best case example, the PDC increases efficiency in the University System by maximizing training resources. Six institutions serve as regional training centers across the state. These centers assist other schools in their region that have limited training resources.

The new ASTD Competency Study is the essential guide for understanding and using the ASTD Competency Model. Written by William J. Rothwell, Ph.D., SPHR, CPLP, Professor of Workforce Education and Development on the University Park campus of The Pennsylvania State University; Justin Arneson, senior scientist with the Human Resources Research Organization; and Jennifer Naughton, Senior Director of Competencies & Credentialing at ASTD, the ASTD Competency Model is the definitive framework for the training and development profession; understanding and applying the model is essential for staying current and relevant in the field.
