Employee Benefits
The University System of Georgia offers a core employee benefit package consisting of group health, dental, and life insurance, as well as retirement plan options for all regular employees who work three-quarters time (30 hours per week) or more on a regular basis. All University System employees are covered by workers’ compensation, and certain employees also enjoy social security participation.
Each institution of the University System may offer other group insurance protection on a voluntary basis if the total cost of such protection is paid by the employee.
