A Message from Chancellor Erroll B. Davis Jr.

Since the earthquake of Jan. 12 in Haiti, the world has been rapidly responding to the devastation in this already impoverished corner of our hemisphere. The needs of the Haitian people are great, and these needs are being met as quickly as people can mount humanitarian responses.

Committed public service is one of the tenants of the vision of the University System of Georgia. Serving the community and helping our fellow man is a critical part of our higher education mission. The USG’s commitment to service is being demonstrated on our campuses as students, faculty and staff respond to the devastation that continues to unfold in front of us.

This webpage has been created as central point of reference for System-wide relief efforts taking place at our institutions. Here you will find links to our institutions’ efforts and ways in which you can work with your local institution(s) to help with Haitian relief efforts.

I encourage you to answer the call to action and get involved. Humankind will benefit from your efforts

Erroll B. Davis Jr.
