Compose Your Bibliography

Step 10

A bibliography is a list of the sources you used to write your paper. Take your final list of sources and put it into the appropriate style, which will be determined by your professor or by the subject/discipline in which you are writing the paper.

There are numerous styles for writing research papers, and all have style manuals.

Three styles that are frequently used in college courses are APA, MLA, and Turabian. If you are assigned a research paper which requires the use of another style, consult the style manual for that style. Academic libraries usually have copies of several style manuals.
