Question

How do I perform a search using the GALILEO Search feature?

Answer

GALILEO Search utilizes WebFeat, which is a federated search system that allows you to search multiple databases simultaneously. Comprehensive results are displayed in an easy-to-navigate list.

Here are simple steps to perform a basic search on the Search page:

  • Click on the Search tab withing the main GALILEO navigation bar. Enter your search term(s) and select databases you would like to search. Click on Search.
  • Click on “Browse by Subject.” Select a subject category. This will bring you to options for that subject, including a tab called “Search.” Here, databases related to the subject you have chosen have been pre-selected for searching. Enter your keywords and click search.

Options to limit your search to peer-reviewed/scholarly articles, full-text articles, and a particular date range are provided within the search forms.
