There are several sources for photographs, drawings, and other images in GALILEO. The following licensed databases feature searchable image or picture databases:
- EBSCO Images
- Encyclopædia Britannica Online School Edition
- Encyclopædia Britannica Online Reference Center
- Oxford Art Online
- SIRS Discoverer (K-12 schools and public libraries only)
- SIRS Researcher (K-12 schools and public libraries only)

There are several ways to find images in the various GALILEO user views. Each view offers a Browse by Type tab (By Type in Teen) for finding resources containing a particular format, which includes a category for images. Also, some user views provide an option to search several image databases at one time.
