GALILEO Statistics Project:  Status Report 7/30/04

 

 

Newly completed tasks:

  1. Britannica reporting corrections completed; data from Apr. 02 (earliest available from EBO) to present now available through GALILEO statistics page.
  2. Gathered statistics information for new FY2005 databases: SIRS WebSelect and WebFind; Britannica’s Enciclopedia Universal en Español, Annals of American History, and School Edition; and Gale Kids InfoBits.

 

In-progress tasks:

  1. FirstSearch usage reporting evaluation.
    1. Creating key of database names/codes and institutions/authos to provide to M. Thomas.
  2. SIRS usage reporting evaluation.
    1. Monthly statistics reports now available by e-mail; past reports available online.
    2. Reports organized by SIRS account name—need to create account name/ID key for addition to report generator.
  3. Bowker usage reporting evaluation.
    1. Monthly statistics available online.
    2. Reports organized by Bowker account name—working with Bowker to revise account names to include IDs for addition to report generator.

  1. Develop prototype of new public GALILEO statistics reports generator.
  2. Review what other national consortia are doing for collection and presentation of usage statistics and determine if their efforts can be leveraged or adopted.
  3. Develop plan and steps for archival collection/storage for each product.

  13. Add MLA, Agricola, EconLit, CINAHL, AHI, CMMI to EBSCO monthly data (retrospective and current).
  14. Develop and test statistics program for LexisNexis, load 1/02-1/04 monthly reports.
