SFX Project
GALILEO SFX Demonstration (password required)
Phase I: GETS
The objective of the original SFX GETS/GALILEO project was to develop an implementation of the SFX linking solution that is managed centrally by GALILEO, allows the participating GETS institutions (Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, and University of Georgia) to control display and management of records for locally-purchased electronic resources, allows GALILEO to control display and management of records for centrally-purchased electronic resources, and builds a foundation model for adding additional institutions in the future. Phase I was completed in the winter of 2004.
Phase II: Expansion
In the second phase of the SFX GALILEO Project, additional institutions are participating in the implementation of the GALILEO SFX linking solution with the objective of determining what would be required to support all of the GALILEO institutions.
