Since this was strictly a PeopleTools Upgrade with no BOR functional enhancements, the functional impact is minimal. The most significant enhancements to the PeopleTools include:

  1. Query performance was enhanced, to alleviate issues with long-running queries and time-outs.
  2. New code was added to translate the string "T" or "TODAY" to the current system date. This means that a data entry person can simply type "T" or "today" and when they tab out, the current date will be filled in automatically. For ease of use, "T", "t", "TODAY", "today", and "ToDay" will also be recognized.
  3. Hotlink directly to the HRMS website from anywhere in the PeopleSoft application by hitting [SHIFT][F1]. The setting that controls this feature is located in Configuration Manager.
  4. PeopleBooks is now fully functional from within the application. Simply access the Help menu for various options. The settings that control PeopleBooks are also located within Configuration Manager.
