HRMS/Financials Test/Final Conversion Notification

The GeorgiaFIRST PeopleSoft Financials Project just completed bringing our pilot site Georgia Perimeter live on PeopleSoft in August. Most of you are aware that with the implementation of PeopleSoft Financials, it will be necessary to convert the Account and Department numbers in your HRMS 7.51 databases.
Prior to your institution's go-live on Financials, a test conversion of your 7.51 HRMS database will occur. This test conversion is to ensure the successful delivery of the subsequent production conversion. The test conversion will be applied to a copy of the 7.51 production database and will not impact normal production. You will have an opportunity to run one or more parallel payrolls from your converted HRMS 7.51 database to a PeopleSoft Financials database. This testing will ensure that the conversions were executed correctly, and that the interfaces from HRMS to PeopleSoft Financials are working correctly.
The timeframe for this testing is integrated with the Financials implementation schedule. There will be a workshop in Athens where the HRMS changes will be reviewed, and you will learn how to validate those changes. You will have from that point up until the scheduled HRMS conversion date to do all the testing you would like. This covers approximately 3 months.At the scheduled time for your final conversion, the institution's HRMS production database will be taken off-line for the conversions. The database will be unavailable during this period. The timing of this conversion will depend on your Financials go live date and your payroll schedule. It will either be the Monday prior to your Financials go-live or the Monday of your Financials go-live. We estimate that your HRMS system will be down for approximately one to two days.
