BORI017 - Budget Upload Process

PeopleSoft HRMS Known Issues and Information:

Budget Upload Process (BORI017):

Currently, the only operator class with security to run the budget upload is GA1_BASE. This is because the budget upload is a high level process that should be restricted to the highest level of security. Specifically, the budget upload process inserts a large quantity of data into your database. You must determine which operator(s) at your site should have security access to run this process. Running the budget upload process requires collaboration between your budget department and human resources, so it is possible that you will assign a HR and/or budget person to the appropriate operator class. (You may link an operator to more than one class.)

An alternative to using GA1_BASE is to set security for this process on the M_BUDGT operator class. After ensuring that the appropriate operators are assigned to the class, set security to M_BUDGT as follows:

In Security Administrator:

1. Provide access to the following Panel Groups, all of which belong to the menu BOR_IF_RPTS\MISC:
   
   BUDGET_PARM_BOR
   RUN_BORI017_BOR
   BORI017_REVIEW_BOR
   RUN_BORI107A_BOR
    
2. Provide access to the following menu: MESSAGE AGENT
   
   In Administer Security: 1. Provide access to the Access Group, BUDGET INTERFACE. The access group can be found in the QRY_TREE_BOR under BOR_ACCESS_GROUP - PAYROLL_GROUP. The following records are found in the BUDGET INTERFACE access group:
   
   BUDGET_TRAN_BOR
   BGT_DETAIL_BOR
   BUDGET_PARM_BOR
   BUDGET_Q_VW_BOR
   BGT_ERRLIST_BOR

We will make the change described above for M_BUDGT on the model, which is tentatively scheduled to be included in the release 1.14.
